The "Cuerpo" board is a fullbody image of Enyta and "cuerpo" means "body" in Spanish.

We shot this photo at the iconic Sepulveda Dam.

Years ago, a friend once told me, "Everyone grows up in LA."

How true.

What he meant was, all the TV shows and movies and media we have seen all our lives makes vast areas of Los Angeles very familiar to everyone. Sepulveda Dam is just such a place. Home to countless movies and TV shows and commercials and magazine advertisements, the place is instantly recognizable. Plenty of skateboarding photoshoots have appeared there in magazines too. In fact, a pair of skaters showed up just as we were finishing taking these pictures! Not the sort of location I'd normally pick for a "California/bikini" vibe - let's face it, we're dealing with a giant slab of 250,000 square feet of concrete - but it is just such a renown landmark, I had to use it.

Very surreal to be standing there in that infamous place and remember all the times I'd seen it. (Yes, I was whistling the Buckaroo Banzai themesong as I walked across the plain.) Now, it can be added to another unforgettable and revolutionary moment in skateboarding history - a background location for California Girls Skateboards.
