The location for my shoot with Katie was a bit tricky - I had actually never been there before. I had seen it in passing many times, but I hadn't actually gone and viewed the spot in person. Normally, I would never dream of doing such a thing, but I simply had a good feeling that the location would work out really well.
Boy, was I right about that one!
Seeing the spot up close, it was better than I had hoped for! Putting the lovely Katie in a plain black bikini allowed her to perfectly match the landscape - with her golden skintones mirroring the coloring of the surrounding sandstone and the bikini corresponding to the blackened wood of the wildfire burn area. All of that turned out exactly as I imagined. The bonus I wasn't expecting was the bright yellow of the chaparral flowers growing up through the charred sandstone. Lovely.
Of course, the beauty of the California landscape is only surpassed by California Girls like Katie Lohmann. Buy her V?cut board and you get twice the beauty - since Katie is also holding her Gesicht board in the image!
