Katie was the most well-known model I had ever worked with. Her list of credits is longer and more impressive than anyone else I had photographed before.
Needless to say, this meant I was both exceptionally flattered and honored to have her be a model for California Girls Skateboards, and at the same time, I was incredibly nervous because I wanted to do a great job. Last thing I wanted was to finally work with a model of her caliber, and then take photos she would be embarassed to show people. So, I was both thrilled and terrified to photograph Katie.
In the end, she was so magnificent that the hardest part was picking which shots to use. There wasn't a bad photo in the entire shoot. Katie is so spectacular, she not only raised the bar on the entire California Girls Skateboards project, but she elevated the quality of my photography to a level I hadn't reached before. The girl is amazing.
Did I mention she can actually skateboard too? Yeah, I'm in love.
